BiographyJade du Preez is a graduate of Elam’s Bachelor of Fine Arts programme, and Media Design School’s course in 3D Animation.
Working across media, du Preez’ art is concerned with ideas of translation in communal and transitory spaces. Locations including bus stops, waiting rooms, convention centres and subjects such as cosplayers, online date seekers, and gallery staff have all featured in projects over the years. To date du Preez has been involved in 3 solo and 15 group exhibitions. Highlights have included participation in “El Dorado” an exhibition in Melbourne’s Off the Kerb Gallery, "Art in the Dark" events, and “Beside the Point” a solo show at Newton’s Satellite Gallery. |
